(Sacramento) – BuildStrong California (BSC), a coalition of stakeholders advocating for a comprehensive approach to disaster preparedness in California, issued the following statement following Governor Gavin Newsom’s signing of the $1.5 Billion Wildfire and Forest Resilience Package:
“California’s wildfire crisis presents a significant threat to all Californians and the economy,” said Pamela Williams, BSC Executive Director. “We are grateful for Governor Newsom’s strong commitment to and support of a statewide forest and wildfire resilience strategy. We will continue to partner with state and local leaders to protect homes, businesses, and communities against the next tragedy.”
